This site was founded by Chad Cygan, a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, The Juilliard School and it began as a final independent study project toward earning a certificate in Interactive Technology and Pedagogy from the Graduate Center of the City University of New York in addition to the requirements for earning a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in voice. This project is being pursued under the direct advisement of Dr. Michael Mandiberg.

This project was sponsored in part by the New Media Lab at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York and was piloted with students from the Music Department at Hunter College with the generous permission of their vocal music students and Dr. Susan GonzalezAfter many years of learning, teaching voice and coaching singers in a variety of languages I realized it was futile to expect every singer to be afforded the same benefits of quality coaches and multi-lingual references as some of us are afforded here in New York City.

This site will allow contributors from all over the world to collaborate to build a reference center for vocal music regarding language, musical interpretation, linguistic pronunciation, score access and reference recordings...for FREE!!!
